The Model 1913 Cavalry Saber – the last saber issued to, and used by, the U.S. Cavalry – was designed by Lieutenant George S. Patton, Jr., who, after competing in the 1912 Summer Olympics in the first-ever modern pentathlon, served as “Master of the Sword” at the Mounted Service School at Fort Riley, Kansas.
This high quality miniature reproduction of the famous Patton cavalry saber features a tempered un-sharp steel blade; a steel guard and a hard plastic handle. 11 1/2″ long. This collectible & usable piece comes with M1913 Patton Saber Black Display Stand and comes with small tag with information about Patton’s original saber. Works great in an office as a letter opener!
