After nearly two years from prototype to production, Rick Hinderer is very excited to introduce to you his very first production fixed blade in over three years…the Ranch Bowie! This knife was born from Rick’s desire to design and build a fixed blade knife that really brings the traditional classic styling and modern aesthetics and materials together into a multipurpose everyday carry fixed blade that is ready for any type of task you want to throw at it.

The specs of this knife will convince you that it will be an amazingly comfortable and capable hard use knife. The blade is 5.25″ of 0.1875″ thick CPM-3V tool steel and with an overall length of 10.5″. The superb overall balance is augmented even further by the 3D contoured handles which fill the hands in just the right areas. The flat grind rises up over an inch on the blade which gives it a fantastic slicing profile while still leaving enough steel behind the edge for toughness in the cut! The upswept tip and top swedge allow for the very fine blade tip manipulation that is needed for around the ranch and hunting chores. And speaking of blade tip control, that is helped out even more by the “pinky” groove in the underside of the handle. This type of under-handle design allows for better tip control by use of the bottom part of your hand. Finally, the handles are easily taken off using common everyday tools so that you can wash away the day’s work and grime.
