Simplistic functionality is the name of the game with the Maserin Pressed Poplar Wood series. These kitchen knives are just a blade, colorful carved wood handle, and some rivets but don’t let that fool you. The most important part of a knife of course is the blade and Maserin makes some excellent ones. The steel is thin, sharp, and flat ground to give you the best possible slicing ability. Don’t expect to be able to chop like a cleaver with these. They’re extremely lightweight which would make them excellent travelling or secondary knives. The unfinished wood provides added grip especially when wet without a coating. We suggest you keep these out of the dishwasher.This comes in at a great price point and provides a ton of slicing power.
